The hotel is named after the The Prince Llewelyn (Llewelyn the Great) who was the King of Gwynedd and eventually the ruler of all Wales. The hotel was built c.1830 as the village grew to accommodate more visitors. Even back then Beddgelert was a choice destination for those looking to get away. Under new ownership from January 2022, The Prince Llewelyn Hotel is a popular destination for those looking for simplicity and comfort in the heart of Snowdonia National park. Located on the iconic Beddgelert bridge, the hotel towers over the Afon Colwyn with mountainous views of Moel Hebog and the Aberglasyn pass. The hotel and team provide a pet friendly destination with complimentary dog treats at the bar and water bowls after a days walk. We also welcome families and children of all ages to enjoy great food and a large selection of refreshing drinks. The rooms are clean, comfortable and provide a classic country inn décor. They are fitted with 42" smart TV's to stream your own content or view the many freeview channels on offer, tea and coffee facilities and in most rooms, offer a full bathroom to relax and soak after a days hike. The friendly team are experts in the local area and will not only welcome you with a smile, they'll also point out the best places to visit also.
